WHAT WOMEN WORE — AND WHY!

Christine Pilgrim invites you to explore what women wore under those frills and flounces of the Victorian era.

Some may even get to feel what it was like to wear the restricting undergarments endured by our sisters of yesteryear!

Ms Pilgrim will discuss why such clothes were worn and when (and why) they were replaced by less restrictive garments.

The presentation spans two centuries and the clothes worn by women from the mid-1800s to the present day.  It is easily adapted to suit all ages – from five to eighty-five – and can be staged at any location.

Depending on requirements,  it can run between twenty and sixty minutes.

As with all Pilgrim's shows, this presentation is interactive and is interspersed with songs that are relevant to the period and the topic.
